With Gratitude
As I sit down to write this, I am still smiling and honestly still basking in the joy of what we experienced together at this year’s Family FunFest. Because of all of you, we were able to donate $2,000 to the Plum Lake Public Library. That is not just a number. That is new books, improved equipment, and meaningful support for a place that brings learning and connection to our community. This was truly something we did together, and I am so grateful for each and every person who showed up, volunteered, sponsored, and supported the day. Thank you for being part of it.
And Winter moves on…
Now, just like that, winter has finally loosened its grip. The snow has melted, the days are getting longer, and the farm is coming back to life. There is something special about this time of year. The horses are shedding, the air feels fresh again, and everything starts to move with a little more energy.
It is a season of new beginnings out here.
One of the simple joys we are happy to share again is fresh eggs from Eggs and Such – a Farm. If you have picked them up before, you know the difference. If you have not, this is your invitation. Eggs are available for reservation and pick up right here at the farm. It is one more way to stay connected to where your food comes from and support local.
Youth Summer Horse Camp
And as we look ahead, one of the things I am most excited about is our Youth Summer Horse Camp. Every year, this program becomes something truly special. It is not just about riding. It is about learning how to care for a horse, understanding their behavior, building trust, and developing confidence that carries far beyond the barn.

We see it happen every summer. Kids arrive a little unsure, a little quiet. By the end of their session, they are standing taller, speaking up, and moving with a sense of confidence that is hard to describe unless you have witnessed it.
Our camps are designed for kids ages 7 to 17 and focus on:
- Horse care and safety
- Grooming and handling
- Understanding horse behavior
- Tack and equipment
- Riding fundamentals once a foundation is built
We keep our groups small so each camper gets the attention and experience they deserve. These sessions do fill quickly every year, and we are already seeing interest for the upcoming season.
If you have been thinking about it for your child or grandchild, now is the time to reach out and reserve a spot. Dates and registration info found here: https://plumlakeequestriancenter.com/summer-horse-camp/
Venue Rental
As always, the barn is here for more than just camps. Whether you are interested in lessons, stopping by for eggs, or even hosting a gathering in a space that is simple, real, and welcoming, we would love to have you.
Thank you again for being part of this community. Spring is here, and there is so much to look forward to.
With gratitude,
