Instructor Penny Wahlgren has a long background of working with horses and children. She earned her Bachelor of Animal Science from UW-River Falls and later became a Zookeeper of Horses at the Indianapolis Zoo. While there, Penny’s goal was to be the catalyst for an awesome experience between the guests and the animals in her care. After moving back to the Northwoods, Penny became Barn Manager of several facilities and continues to work at Plum Lake Equestrian center in Sayner, Wi., continuing to bring her passion for horses to children. Her horse, Flash of Perfection, will be an excellent demo horse for students to learn about horses.
